About Ruth Ann Monti

Born in New Jersey (the Springsteen State), Ruth Ann has always loved reading, research, and writing. After graduating with a BA in Public Affairs from The George Washington University in Washington, DC, she provided public relations services for nonprofit organizations that support women’s healthcare. She continued studying government processes and added research methods to her interests as she worked toward an MA in Legislative Affairs, also from GWU.

Ruth Ann worked as a researcher and writer for healthcare organizations and associations in and around DC for several years including an HMO, consulting firms, and associations representing medical equipment distributors and assistive technology developers. She wrote marketing and public relations materials – press releases, newsletters, and brochures – and articles for professional journals. She also drafted official reports to clients primarily from the US Department of Health and Human Services.

Ruth Ann’s experiences with proposal writing gave her the interview skills necessary to elicit information from overworked actuaries, IT experts, and other reluctant and often evasive subject matter experts (SMEs).

Since moving to Arizona, Ruth Ann has focussed on creating SEO-rich content for websites, landing pages, blogs, long- and short-form articles, and newsletters. Her work has been recognized by the Web Marketing Association, which presented her with its Webaward for B2B and healthcare content. As a freelancer, much of her work has been ghostwriting articles and blogs for industries ranging from IT to law but she continues to publish under her own byline on this website and on LinkedIn.
